Gearsup Solution conducted a one-week market research and competitive analysis as part of the project “Assessment of Competitive Offers in the Regional Markets (Albania, Kosovo) and Access to Regional Markets for the Existing Target Markets”.
The project objectives were to assess incoming tourists from (Kosovo and Albania) their needs and habits while vising Mavrovo during off season, weekends and winter.

The expected outcome form this research was to know more about buying behavior of visitors from Albania and Kosovo when they search for: Weekend getaways, Winter holydays (Including type of packages, pricing policy and facilities).
Gearsup Solutions conducted a research by sampling and interviewing more than 100 tourists or travel agencies that were able and willing to buy or sell offerings from Mavrovo. After the research was finalized, Gearsup Solutions did a qualitative analysis where data like reason for for (not) visiting Mavrovo were analyzed. Further, the research considered the useful recommendations collected from participants.
Finally, the research team did a competitive analysis of the products offered in the given markets. Having done the analysis, we identified the sectors that needed improvement in order to make Mavovo offer more competitive.
Concretely, for the winter season we suggested formation of competitive packages that combined accommodation with skiing activities with the focus on those who never skied and beginners.
Today those packages called All-in-one, Profi-skier and Winterrelax are in high demand in Mavrovo. They have significantly increased the number of visitors, especially during working days and made visitors stay longer at destination.
